Tailoring takes a fresh new direction at Dunhill

Fresh thinking at Dunhill looks to be taking the British motoring heritage brand in a promising direction. Tailoring is clean, precise, almost utilitarian – take the canvas drill jacket (£1,195) and straight-cut black cotton-drill trousers (£350). The choice of stone lightweight suede for a blazer (£2,195) and mink-grey suede for a shirt (£1,595) is also strong.

The final coup is light outerwear in sophisticated fabrics, such as Japanese rip‑stop nylons used for an olive-toned action smock (£750).
