Los Angeles designer James Flemons has become fashion's go-to for all things '70s nostalgia, dressing names like Solange Knowles, Kelela and Kali Uchis in his burgeoning brand PHLEMUNS.
As someone who says he "never really quite fit the mold of this society stereotype of the all-masc, emotionless black man," Flemons also uses fashion to redefine black masculinity, making clothes for male musicians that soften social archetypes.
