Titled ‘Colors of Emotions’ this latest lookbook and collection by Pieces uniques is inspired by Plutchik’s wheel of emotions, each colour of which represents a different emotion. Translating this into clothing has resulted in all of the garments being centred around five colours which the models wear in full monochromatic looks, using the associations of the colour they are wearing to represent themselves.
The clothing itself is inspired by postmodernist architecture, which can be seen by the sharp edges that many of the sillhouttes feature and the layering of shapes, especially present in the outerwear. With buckles and harness-like pockets featured across the clothing there are utiliterian undertones in the collection which is contrasted by the soft colours that the French label have chosen to use.
Shot mostly against a backdrop of the dessert, with camels and sand-barren landscapes, this campaign is presented in two visual formats, through a short video and a lookbook.
